Premium Tea House & Cafe

The Art of
Doing Less,
Tasting More

Rare leaves sourced from ancient gardens. Water heated to the exact degree. Time measured not in minutes, but in the unfolding of flavor. Welcome to The Slow Pour.

The Ritual

How We Brew

Every cup follows a deliberate process. No shortcuts, no automation. Just water, leaves, time, and attention.

1

Select

Our tea master reviews each leaf lot by hand. We cup every batch blind before it earns a place on the menu. Only 15% of samples make the cut.

2

Measure

Every gram matters. We weigh each portion on a precision scale to ensure the leaf-to-water ratio is exactly right for the vessel, the temperature, and the tea.

3

Pour

Water temperature is controlled to the degree. A delicate white tea gets 175F. A robust pu-erh gets 212F. We never guess, because five degrees changes everything.

4

Steep

We time every infusion. Some teas reveal themselves in 30 seconds. Others need four minutes. We serve the tea at the moment it reaches peak expression.

★★★★★
I have traveled to Kyoto twice for tea and I can honestly say The Slow Pour matches the experience. The Bamboo Room felt like stepping into another century. I left lighter than I arrived.

I brought a client here for a tea flight and they still mention it a year later. The Da Hong Pao was a revelation. This is not a cafe, it is an education in patience and taste.

The matcha financiers alone would keep me coming back, but it is the atmosphere that makes this place special. Quiet, unhurried, and genuinely welcoming. My favorite spot in the city.
